We ordered a pizza from Abby's on River Road yesterday. I wasn't going to bother with a review but changed my mind. It'll be a cold day in hell before I order from them again. The lettuce on my Taco pizza was brown. I scraped it off to eat it. Ended up throwing half of it away. Absolutely the worst pizza I ever tried to eat. Needless to say we'll never go back!
They offer specialty pizzas that are great. We took visitors to get pizza and potatoes here and they were excited and enjoyed the meal. Toppings were plentiful and extended all the way to the edge, and their thin crust was excellent. Service is a bit slow and cumbersome under covid procedures but were still served in 20 minutes.
Abby's does Canadian Bacon better than anywhere else. Big pieces sliced thin so they get crispy around the edges. It's always the first place I go when I get to town. They are a part of my childhood that never disappoints!
Excellent pizza! We got the Big Hawaiian & it was absolutely delicious. The 16" is on special this month (Sept. 2020) for $19.99. What an awesome deal!
Ultimately I take responsibility for not clicking the “customize” button to find out that the pizzas we we’re interested in only came in thin crust. You’d think you’d want to put that in the general description of the pizza but also how can you only offer thin crust or deep dish... what happened to just regular pizza crust? And too, my mistake for not noticing the size large is only 13inches, which for men is something to be proud of but for a $26 pizza is insufficient. You might think for the price/size you’d be getting top quality ingredients but no, clearly everything came from a #10 can from FSA/Sysco. What an absolute disappointment and waste of $57 for 2 large pizzas and 90+ minute wait for delivery. First and only time.
