I'll start with - the food was good. The service and atmosphere however was anxiety inducing. The servers did not seem to work well as a team and treated every customer that came in like an absolute inconvenience. First, we were scolded for going to the back room to find a table where a server told us to go. Other patrons were scolded for trying to sit outside, or reservation seating requests. One server to a couple said "I dont know anything about the reservations so I can't help you" instead of saying something like "I'm sorry for the mixup, let me find and ask the server who booked the reservation tonight to sort it out". The kicker was that just as our food was delivered, another couple comes in and the server tells looks right at us and says to the couple "you'll have a table in 15 minutes" (referring to our table). Now we feel like we're in a mad rush to eat our meals and finish our cocktails. A few minutes later we weren't even HALFWAY done with our food and as I had my sandwich in my mouth another server comes up and asks "do you need a box?". I don't know if I need a box because I have barely started to eat! I wasn't even halfway done the first half of my sandwich, which she could see, because she asked as I was mid-bite. Again pushing us out of there, she returns with a box AND our check that we didn't ask for, as my boyfriend wanted another drink but wasn't given the opportunity. I understand that they're busy and busier than normal, however should not be blatantly taking it out on customers. This place has potential, I really hope they get their service under control, especially during the busy season.

Great escape from forest fires in southern Oregon! Amazing food and service! We tried fish tacos, clam chowder, and beans/rice dish - all sound like simple menu choices but we were very impressed with the fresh ingredients and flavor. Their drink menu looked very interesting, I’d love to come back for happy hour. We had no problem bussing our own table - just put the dishes in a bin, pretty simple. Small locally owned businesses have suffered so much in the last few months, I’m happy to comply with these very small asks in order for their doors to stay open and to enjoy dining out!

My family and I ate there a month ago. The waitress was nice and food was good. The wait time was fairly long and we cracked jokes that they were catching the fish fresh to order. We did not see any signs to bus our table nor were we asked to. Part of the reason i enjoy going out is not having to cook or bus my table. I understand that some are concerned about covid 19 but thats a risk we take. Good hand washing techniques and properly wearing masks greatly reduces risk of contracting the virus. I hope you guys do your part and keep the restaurant atmosphere alive by keeping a sense of normalcy. If future visits to homegrown require its patrons to bus tables it will reflect in its tips.

Stopped in after an awesome hike around Cooks Ridge. Was craving chowder, and remember having Homegrown’s beer be recommended to me back home in Eugene. Stopped in, and was happy to see that they had a smart and simple system set up to maintain a COVID safe atmosphere. Plenty of clean outdoor seating and sanitizing stations. And the chowder was TERRIFIC! Delicious, creamy, well seasoned. Some of the best I’ve had on the coast, and it’s a dish I get every time I’m on the coast. It wasn’t just a sticky, pasty, mess of flour like other places. It had flavor, and a good chunkiness to it. Had a winter ale to pair with it, and it was splendid as well. Malty, dark, with a perfect level of bitter roast. Will do again next time I’m out here.
