Incredibly chill spot, hiding right off the University of Oregon’s campus. The service sometimes takes a bit but it’s always worth it. The Karaage Chicken is straight fire and their ramen bowl is huge. Portions are generous and their drinks are fantastic: my go-to is the lychee gimlet. Izakaya Jinsei is owned by the same people who own Sushi Pure, and the building where Sushi Pure is currently located used to house Jinsei, but at that time it was called Izakaya Oyazi, and I used to DJ there occasionally for Valentine’s Day, etc. The owners are cool people and the food is great.
Ordered from grubhub so I won't rail too hard on how cold everything was. The salmon is a decent sized filet but is thin and crispy. Wasn't a fan of the croquette and shrimp dumpling and the gyoza was quite dry. Everything was dry actually, was disappointed but in the end it filled me up, just wasn't worth the price.
I loved the ambiance while we waited for our food. I liked the food I got. The service was good too.
Ramen is truly amazing 👏
The food was delicious, the service was on top of it. All covid procedures were followed. Dine in. It was an over all wonderful experience
