We had an extremely disappointing encounter with a rude waiter at The Paddock tonight. As a party of six with a six month old infant, we wanted to take advantage of the sunny weather and try out The Paddock’s patio for an early weeknight dinner around 5:00 PM. We checked in with a waitress who told us to pick from any of the sparsely occupied picnic tables outside and order at the bar. We situated ourselves at a far table away from the four other parties, with the baby in a stroller sleeping next to his mother. We were taken aback when a young male waiter sauntered over and in a condescending tone, told us that we couldn’t eat outside because the patio could not accommodate minors. Given the early dinner hour and the fact the baby was sleeping and confined to his stroller, I confirmed with the waiter that the baby would have to leave the premises. He scoffed at us and sarcastically responded that the baby “was as minor as it gets,” before leaving us to go back inside the restaurant. There was no justification for the waiter’s rude behavior. We left and took our $200 dinner and drink tab to a more welcoming neighborhood establishment. To address the owner's response - complying with OLCC rules is fine, and most customers are happy to respect your requirements. Unprofessional and rude staff is not. Let's not miss the point.
I've never sent something back to the kitchen to receive something worst. I had asked for the check twice saying I had to get back to work. And ofcorse still charged me full price for a meal I barely touched. A wooden nickle is not worth 10 bucks.. threw nickle away. And recommend you stay away. Go to place where the cook can read and the staff listens.
I just can't believe there are that many smokers still these days. Had to smoke with a couple of cavemen sitting nearby outside. But the brisket sandwich was tasty. Waiting for Dave Villalobos.
Great spacing, great service, beautiful bar, food is delicious. Needs more video lottery games.
I love this place! Great atmosphere and kind employees.
