Valley River Inn in Eugene Oregon is located in the parking lot of the Valley River Center. I think this is a great hotel for families. The hotel is huge and roomy and so are the rooms. Some things about Valley River Inn are really beautiful still but they really need to do a remodel. The team members are really polite and friendly. All in all I had a nice stay. Daniel Read IV
Pamela at the front desk was AMAZING. She went to great lengths to straighten out a confusion from a third party booking. No complaints here. Very nice place to stay! Definitely staying here again
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!! I received a confirmation email but had to change the dates of my reservation. I clicked on the link in the email to edit the reservation, followed the instructions and changed the dates. When we arrived, their system didn't show the change and our room was not available for the first night. The manager’s (Hans) answer was "it's not our system". After 1/2 hour of them trying to figure things out, they finally put us in a lesser room and we would move to our room the next night. They gave us vouchers for $24 at breakfast and $50 for dinner so we figured they were at least trying. The first room was terrible. It was enormous but really just had a bunch of empty space. There was a sudden sloped drop from one part of the room to the other, the bathroom was terrible (the bottom of the tub was stained and there was a small spider on the bed. We had driven for 9 hours and didn’t want to look for another hotel so we just dealt with it. Next room was better but very outdated, as is the entire hotel. Breakfast was good, and then came dinner. They don’t have room service but there is an in-house restaurant that you can pick food up from. We ordered, picked it up, and brought it back to the room. The food looked terrible and didn’t smell very appetizing. We took it to the front desk because they were the ones that gave us the voucher and the restaurant was closing. The manager (Hans again) called the restaurant manager who basically said that was how it should look. I said we wouldn’t eat it and had them take it back. Hans just stood there watching. I guess he was OK with giving food vouchers for inedible food. We were clearly not happy guests but this hotel doesn’t seem to value happy guests, good reviews, or return customers. I say again…DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!!
Amazing location hands down. NOT Only are you on the river but it is conveniently located next to a shopping mall without the traffic.. Friendly staff and clean room. We would definitely stay again. Great breakfast at Elmer's Restaurant, right next door too!
When we arrived we got the wrong room but it was fixed. Nice location, lots of parking. River path is right out the door. Oregon is Oregon.. Love it or leave it
